Crime rates in our city have reached levels that are unacceptable. Many of our residents do not feel safe in their homes and businesses. In addition to lowering the quality of life for people living in Monroe, high levels of crime negatively impact local business owners and our economy. We need an aggressive approach to reach a level of safety in our community that people deserve and should expect from their city.
I am committed to supporting our local law enforcement. I will work to understand the unique needs of each department, ensure they are funded, and will strive to make Monroe a safer place to live and do business. In order to make a lasting difference in our community, we need a collaboration between citizens and government to find proactive, effective, and lasting solutions.
